Nolan McDonald: “Goalie Instruction for Dummies: How any Coach can Improve any Goalie”
Nolan McDonald is a former professional goaltender who played for the Lausitzer Foxes in the German pro league, for the Columbus Cottonmouths and the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL and for the University of Vermont. Nolan’s playing experience has also landed him in the Quebec Major Junior League and in the Western Hockey League. Now, Nolan is committed to helping young goaltenders learn and thrive in this very difficult position.

Corey Stephen and Jamie McKinley: “Making A lot Out of a Little: Skill Development Drills for Half Ice and Less, the STRIDES Way”
Corey Stephen operates STRIDES, southern New Brunswick’s premiere hockey training centre. Also an accomplished AAA coach at the Bantam and Midget levels, Corey’s passion for hockey is extreme.
Jamie McKinley is the Head Coach of the New Brunswick Under 14 High Performance team and a regular instructor at STRIDES. After a professional playing career in Europe, Jamie has dedicated his efforts to the development of young players, and is a master in the field of using small areas to develop big talent!

Ken Dobson: “What we can learn from Finland about player development”
Ken Dobson is the Head Coach of the Saint John Midget Major Vitos. He is one of New Brunswick’s most experienced and best trained coaches, having obtained Hockey Canada’s High Performance Coaching certification and putting it to use as the Head Coach of the 2007 New Brunswick Canada Games Hockey Team, Head Coach of the New Brunswick Under 17 program and in other coaching capacities. In addition, Ken served as Hockey Canada’s Development Coordinator in Atlantic Canada from 2002 to 2005 and has acted as a scout for both Ontario Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams. This year, Ken represented Hockey Canada in Finland for the purpose of exchanging ideas on player development.

Scott Geikie and Bill Gulliver: “Ten things that usually go wrong in the second Half of the Season, and How to Avoid Them”
Scott Geikie is the Head Coach of the Saint John Bantam AAA Seadogs and Bill Gulliver is the Head Coach of the KV Midget AAA Spartans.

Pat McLaughlin.: “Elements of an Effective Practice”
Pat McLaughlin is an Advanced Level 1 Coach with more than 20 years of coaching experience including Midget Major, Canada Winter Games and the Program of Excellence. He was employed by Hockey Canada for six years, including a senior management role in Calgary. More recently, Pat has worked in the Edmonton Oilers head office as Vice-President of Brand and he has also served as a scout for the Saint John Seadogs. In 1986, Pat had a professional try-out with the National Hockey Leagues' Calgary Flames.

Grant Beckingham is a New Brunswick rugby legend who turned the tiny community of Belleisle into a Maritime rugby powerhouse. Grant’s high school and senior teams are perennial championship contenders and have an eye-popping trophy case as a demonstration of their excellence. Yet, the real secret to the success of Belleisle rugby has always been – well, a secret. The Bears and Rovers play an already intense sport with unmatched energy and enthusiasm, and with an enthusiasm that can be felt. They regularly topple teams from big schools and big cities with an undefeatable attitude!

Doug Sheppard: “Modern Techniques of Hockey Skating”
Doug Sheppard is a former pro player who now leads the world-renowned Andrews Hockey Growth Programs. Doug has coaching experience at a variety of levels, and has also served as the Director of Hockey Operations for the small but mighty University of Prince Edward Island. During the summer months, Doug is consulted by some of the biggest names in pro hockey, and his office walls are jammed with expressions of thanks from stars such as Sidney Crosby and Brad Richards.
