Ice time is becoming an extremely valuable and scarce commodity in the Minor Hockey world, which means more and more of the ice time that teams have is spent on games, scrimmages and / or team play development. Time for individual skill development and teaching becomes less and less. Strides Hockey Development facility wants to invest the time and put the focus back into individual skill development, its facility, programs and low instructor to student ratio is conducive to an ideal environment for such goals.
Strides Hockey Development Facility, formerly The Goalie Barn, is a year round Hockey Development Facility specializing in Individual Skill and Individual Tactic development both on and off the ice. With a state of the art facility, Strides offers the largest synthetic ice surface in Atlantic Canada as well as a separate shooting or goalie synthetic surface, two off ice training areas with sport specific training equipment, 2 locker rooms, parents lounge, meeting rooms as well an off ice classroom for continued hockey education.
